One of the neatest tidbits from conference (for me) was hearing President Hinckley talking about the new genealogy software. That's the project that I work on, and this was the first time I've been in a position to hear the prophet talking about my day to day work during conference. It sure left me feeling excited to get in to work on Monday.
On a related note, we're still looking for some good technical people. I'll try to blog a bit about what's going on here, and lay out some more information about the kinds of people we're looking for.

Well if that comment isn't a silly piece of satire -- it's a good facsimile of one.
I was excited to hear Pres. Hinckley mention this project and hope it works well -- it will not only save duplication of effort, but will help with the Church's PR efforts.

Who gave you the right to judge Pat, or anyone for that matter? You obviously don't know Pat very well. Pat is a very "behind the scenes" kind of guy and does an enormous amount of work for any one man.
As far as worldy things are concerned, do you "really need" a computer to criticize those that are trying to put out a way for us to communicate about our beliefs. Let me guess, you give in a cave and the only worldly posession you have is a computer.
